I have always felt that the saying "Friends are God's apology for family" is so true. As much as I LOVE and ADORE my family, sometimes there is nothing like good friends. Since I have been home I have reconnected with some good friends of mine that I met back in 2009. See, where Jason and I used to live, our landlord Tom used to throw "Corona" parties every year. 100 or so people would show up and it was a blast. Well, at the one in 2009 Jamie and Marylee showed up. Yes, we all were pretty tipsy....but the three of us were like immediate sisters. It felt like we had known each other forever and we had just met that night. After the party we exchanged texts quite a bit, but since I was in a relationship at the time I never really hung out with them. We kept in touch over Facebook and every now and again would text, but that was about it. Well, when I moved back from Billings, Jamie text me and asked if I wanted to meet up with her and some of her friends at Leatherheads. Its a nice sports bar in Draper. Well, it was a Sunday night and I really didn't want to leave my house, plus my mom was throwing a birthday dinner for a family member, so I really thought I should stay home. There was something in me though that kept telling me to go.....so I did. BOY AM I GLAD. Honestly, that night we all reconnected after not seeing each other but that one night in 2009, and it was like a day had not passed. I love these girls so much, they have been my lifesavers, and honestly best friends. I haven't spent more than a few days without them and their group of friends since!!!!!!! I will post pics of us at the Corona party a few years ago, and then some today.....I don't have any of Marylee and I, but she is usually always there!!! Anyway, yea for friends!!! Loving life so much :) :) :)
